Mind, Body and Spirit
As humans, we are comprised of mind, body and spirit. These elements together interact to create a free flow of energy, allowing us to be our best selves in each realm. However, at times we are prone to experiencing obstacles that stand in the way of our wholeness, as we face the conditions of our modern society that can be inhibitive to living in the light. Guiding Light Holistic Wellness helps clients to pinpoint the unique blockages they may be experiencing, then develops a comprehensive wellness program to target the release of these emotional and physical burdens to overall elevate well-being across mind, body and spirit.
MIND
Emotional and mental healing from a holistic healing perspective is all about restoring balance and well-being in your psyche, which can take on a variety of different forms. Whether you want to shift to more positive emotional states, adopt a more consistent sense of peace, or develop healthier, more expansive thinking patterns, the objective is to address both your emotions and your thoughts. Our minds are the mental and emotional aspects of ourselves. They processes thoughts, ideas, feelings and emotions. The mind is consciousness, memory, and imagination.
BODY
From a holistic perspective, health isn’t merely the absence of disease or symptoms; it is a state of optimal wellbeing, vitality, and wholeness. As body and mind are connected, each thought sets off a cascade of cellular reactions in our nervous system that influence the body. Our cells are constantly observing our thoughts and are changed by them. Bodies are the physical aspect of the human form. Amazingly, they consist of nearly 50 trillion cells that communicate to form tissues, nerves, bones and organs. The body speaks in the language of matter, atoms, particles, and molecules.
SPIRIT
A well-nourished spirit is a great preventive measure for many illnesses. It is the nonphysical part of a person that is the seat of emotions and character. A spirit lies within all of us, yet the ability to connect to our spirit requires abandonment of preconceived notions with which we have been programmed in order to connect to something greater than ourselves. It is in the search for spirit that the things that connect us to a deeper space within ourselves - health, peace, time, silence, touch, relationships - are called into the light, helping us achieve a sense of happiness and well-being.
An optimum balance amongst all three is created when every day includes healthy eating, engaging in physical activity, restful sleep, quieting the mind through meditation, releasing emotional toxins, and of course laughing at least once/day.
